The Story: 

Rosey Perotti just turned 30 in the remote logging town where she has spent her entire life. She's running the family restaurant and being the glue for her loveably dysfunctional family—an eccentric granny, an alcoholic mom and a lively brother with Down Syndrome.

 

She's happiest when she sings at the bar along with a rag-tag bunch of local musicians--including her best friend and sometimes lover, Scooter.

 

When a Hollywood music executive comes to town on a “spirit quest”, he thinks she is his ticket to redeeming his tarnished reputation and getting back into the good graces of the record company.

 

Enticed by his promises of fame and fortune, Rosey runs toward greener pastures. But the glamour wears thin when Rosey discovers her "adoring fans" are influencers being paid to fawn over her. Her brief taste of happiness turns bitter when she can barely recognizes herself or her remixed songs. 

 

Unable to capture the feeling of joy she felt at the bar singing with family and friends, Rosey goes home and reclaims the things that brought her satisfaction all along.
