The Story: 

It's 1948 and PIPER finds an escape from controlling parents and a loveless relationship by joining the Hello Clean All Girl Orchestra. Selling soap by day and recording a radio concert at night, she finds job satisfaction—and a surprising attraction to the orchestra’s soprano, GIGI.

Sneaking out after curfew, Piper and Gigi explore new feelings as they explore the country. It's easy to ignore the dangers when you're falling in love, but Piper's recklessnesses results in losing her job, her family and getting her heart broken.

 

With her tail tucked between her legs, she begs forgiveness and returns home. Her parents and former boyfriend are thrilled. But on the morning of her wedding day, before the world awakens, Piper packs up her instrument and heads for the next gig down the road.
